Right College of Nursing Vanagaram was established under the aegis of Shree Abirami Educational Trust in 2007. The College is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University (TNMGRMU), Chennai and recognised by INC & the Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council (TNNMC).
The Right College of Nursing offers nursing programs at the UG and Diploma levels. Below given below is the detailed eligibility criteria of the respective courses:

GNM | - Minimum age: 17 years.
- Maximum age: 35 years.
- Secured at least 40% marks in aggregate in 10+2 with any of the following subjects:
- PCB & English.
- Arts & English (Core / Elective) / Healthcare Science Vocational streams.
OR - Qualified 10+2 Vocational ANM with at least 40% marks.
- Must be registered as ANM with the State Nursing Registration Council.
*The subjects included in the Arts stream are Biotechnology, Mathematics, History, Economics, Home Science, Accountancy, Political Science, Geography, Business Studies, Philosophy, Sociology, and Psychology, |
B.Sc Nursing | - OC / BCM / BC / DNC / MBC candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% for SC / ST / SCA category) in 12th with any of the following major subjects:
- Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics.
- Minimum age to apply is 17 years & maximum age is 30 years.
- Should be medically fit.
*Married & Widow females who meet the above stated criteria are also eligible. |
*Students who have failed / appeared in compartment exam are not eligible for admission.
Admission Process
Eligible candidates can collect the admission form from the College, fill-in & submit the same along with the required documents & requisite demand draft. Admission is strictly based on the students’ merit secured in the previous qualifying examinations and performance in the personal interview. The college grants admission to the female candidates only under the Management Quota & the Government Quota, respectively.
*Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination other than HSC conducted by the TamilNadu Govt., have to obtain an eligibility certificate from the TamilNadu Dr. MGR Medical University.
