PGP College of Nursing and Research, Namakkal was established in the year 2006 as a Private Educational Institution. PGP College of Nursing and Research Namakkal is approved by INC and TNNMC, and is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. PGP College of Nursing and Research offers admission in the field of Paramedical at UG/ PG level. Dr. Palani G Periasamy is the Chairman.

PGP Nursing College and Research was started under the PGP Group of Educational Institutions. Since its inception, the college has been offering quality education in the field of nursing and it strives to educate nurses to solve the health problems of our country using advanced medical technology.

The college is affiliated with the TamilNadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, and is approved by the Govt. of TamilNadu. Alongside, it has also got recognition from the Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and TamilNadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai.

PGP College of Nursing and Research Admissions 2026

The PGP College of Nursing Namakkal offers B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing as an UG and PG course respectively and admission into these programs is completely based upon students’ merit. Please find the eligibility criteria of this course in the following table:

B.Sc Nursing

  • Passed HSC exam or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English
  • Secure at least 45% marks

M.Sc Nursing

  • Hold a B.Sc Nursing degree or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with 55% marks
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of work experience with RN & RM
