Adhiparasakthi College of Nursing [APCON], Kanchipuram was established in the year 1993 as a Private Educational Institution. APCON Kanchipuram is approved by INC, accredited by NAAC-A, and is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. Adhiparasakthi College of Nursing, formed in 1993 is affiliated to the TamilNadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University. The college is accredited by NAAC and is recognised by the Government of Tamil Nadu, and the INC.
The college offers courses in nursing at Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level through 3 departments that include medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, and obstetric gynecological nursing.

Students are admitted according to the rules and regulations laid down by the TamilNadu Dr. MGR Medical University subject to the following eligibility criteria:

B.Sc Nursing | - 10+2 or pre-degree Examination; or 12 years of schooling from a recognised Board or University with PCB scoring at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) with English;
- The age for applicants is 17 years;
- A certificate of medical fitness must be provided by an authorised officer.

GNM | - 10+2 in the Science group with a minimum of 40% (35% for SC/ST candidates).
- The age of applicants should be 17-35 years.

M.Sc Nursing | - B.Sc from the TamilNadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other approved institution with 55% (50% for SC/ST students)
- Registered with the State Council
- One year of work experience in a hospital or teaching in a school / college of nursing or Community Health program post-registration is mandatory
- To be eligible for admission, male candidates should have a qualification recognised by INC.

Ph.D in Nursing | - Must have minimum 50% of marks in M.Sc
- Faculty of an affiliated teaching institution of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University may apply for part-time Ph.D.

Adhiparasakthi College awards scholarships to meritorious students. Students belonging to SC/ST or backward classes can apply for Government scholarships. The college will assist financially weak students in availing the TNAI scholarship.
